I found The Shore Bag on Pinterest last year. INSTANT love.
During the Black Friday sale (yep, almost 8 months ago), I bought the pattern for myself and one for my mom.
After working on some other projects, I picked this one back up this week.
The pattern is excellent. I think the return on the effort is tremendous. It doesn’t require anything very difficult, and yet it doesn’t scream “made by someone who’s still learning to sew.”
I’m definitely still learning to sew…
I added two magnetic snaps. My sweetheart calls me “Stacky McStuffer” because I can fill purses and closets and shelves and boxes like pro. Two snaps means there’s hope that I’ll be able to get it closed around whatever I stuff in there.
I know the Tiny Seamstress shop has already finished versions of this for sale, but I’d really have to recommend getting the pattern. It’s so forgiving. I’m already planning my next one – maybe with some Glimma canvas?
Many thanks to Holly for modeling this for me!
The sun was shining brightly during my day at the museum. The bag was FANTASTIC!
