I’m a little behind in the Sugar Block Club, and I decided to skip to February. I was inspired to build a block around this little Amy Butler tree.

February's Sugar Block

I CANNOT tell myself often enough on these kinds of blocks, “DAISY, YOU MUST PRESS YOUR SEAMS OPEN.” Clearly, “must” isn’t really accurate because I didn’t and voila, there’s a block in that picture.

But I wish I had. My seams would have been more accurate and required less muscle forcing them through my protesting Janome. So if you are in the Sugar Block business and haven’t done February, I highly recommend pressing those seams open.

Block stats:
Fabrics: Amy Butler, Mo Bedell, Felicity Miller, and I can’t remember who the stripes are by. I’m pretty sure both pinks are Konas. I realize this is the lousiest fabric accounting ever, but it’s more fun to just pull from my stash and go!
Size: 12.5″
Pattern: Sugar Block Club
