I just made up the block name to title this blog post.

Stash Bee May Hive 3 Blocks

Sheila from the Mindful Quilter didn’t use a name when she described her block in May’s Stash Bee tutorial, but even without a name (or with the made up name that I gave it, I really enjoyed how dynamic these blocks are!

I used Carolyn Friedlander’s Crosshatch in Black and some Swinging from Zen Chic’s Comma in Chalk Slate.

I’m hoping that the Wells from the Liberty Stile collection reads “black” enough for Sheila.  It was a little bit of a risk to use something with color speckled in, but I figure she can always put it on a pillow or on the back if it doesn’t mix well with the other blocks she receives from our hive mates.  Carolyn Friedlander’s Stems in Ash is the contrasting fabric.

These blocks went in the mail on Tuesday. Sheila, I hope they work for you – I can’t wait to see all the blocks together!
