I actually haven’t been sewing this week. We welcomed our second child into this world, and I’ve been preoccupied with loving on both our little ones and taking life very, very slowly.
But last week I was still in the midst of serious nesting.
And this Melissa White Fairlyte Garden jellyroll work-in-progress needed to be finished.
I’m happy I had a few minutes this afternoon to snap some pictures to document this quilt before I send it off to friends in London for their little girl. I wish I’d gotten a few close up pictures to show off the darling birds and dragon flies and butterfly wings, but I was in a bit of a rush.
The back has some leftover flannel from other projects, and the binding is a mix of the prints and the solid pink.
By the way, Fairlyte Garden came out a few years ago, but if you’re interested, there are bundles at both Imagine Fabric and YouSewGirlFabric that are tempting me. Sometimes a jelly roll still leaves me wanting more…
