This quilt has been in progress for a long time.
I think I started this last winter when Craftbuds hosted the Mosaic Tiles Quilt Along. Then, I pulled the pieces back out this summer when Rachel at Stitched in Color hosted her Purge Along. Finally, I made a little progress on it this fall… but still didn’t finish it.
But now, this starting block:
Has become this quilt:
Despite how much effort this particular quilt seems to have taken from me, and despite the lusciousness of the Birch Organics Fleece that’s on the back, I’m giving this away to a friend who just had a little baby boy. In case you didn’t know, I just had a baby, too. My quilty friends have sent so many heartfelt, handmade gifts that bring a smile to my face every time I look at them. This Mosaic Tiles quilt needs to warm another sweet little baby!
